Dear Parkway Youth Hockey Families,
Mark Delamere is a 15 year old freshman at Boston Latin Academy and lives in West Roxbury with his parents, Mark and Sheila. Mark has been an avid basketball, baseball, hockey, and lacrosse player, playing all over the Parkway Area since he was a young boy.
On September 6, 2013, while receiving a ride home from his school, Boston Latin Academy, Mark was involved in a horrific car accident that has left him paralyzed from the waist down. Mark has been transferred to The Shepherd Center in Atlanta which specializes in treating individuals with spinal cord injuries. Mark faces significant challenges ahead of him to deal with his injuries and is determined to work as hard as he can and to never give up hope that he will walk again.
Mark’s family faces a daunting financial need associated with his care and recovery at a time when they are most focused on his health and rehabilitation. We are happy to announce that the Delamere/Mulry families and friends have planned an event to honor Mark to celebrate the community that has been so supportive and to raise funds to assist him and his parents during this extraordinarily difficult time.
The event to benefit the Mark Delamere Fund is scheduled for Saturday, November 16, 2013 7:00 PM at Demetris on Route 1, Foxboro. The event will be a wonderful night and will include food, music, silent auctions, raffles, and so much more! Come on, Parkway Families, let's see you all out at Foxboro to support this family!!
Tickets to the event are available online at www.delamere.ticketbud.com/mark-delamere-strong-benefit. Hard copy tickets are available at Kelleher's Bar & Grille on Centre Street in Roslindale.
